Line leader!

 

 

I love the things that excite this girl! It's the simple things! The other day she was so excited when she got off the bus because she had been chosen as the "line leader" at school! It's hard to tell in this picture, but the stick says "line leader."

It carried over to the whole rest of the afternoon. We all had to follow her around the house. I can still picture that huge smile and excitement when she got home. Too cute!



Think I felt my heart break

Some days I think I'm getting this whole parenting thing down! Then some days like this, I think, being a parent is tough!

 

That's my girl, all excited to get on the school bus today. She started school last week, which was hard enough, but she's been begging to ride the bus. So this Monday was another first, and it was like her first day of school all over again.

 

 

Some days she looks so big, and then some days like this, she just looks too little to be anywhere without me!

 

Having a morning chat with Daddy before the bus comes.

 

"Mom, are you crying?" :)

 

Gosh, she's beautiful!

 

 

 

 

And she's off....and my heart just broke!

 

 

And, I just went through a half a box of tissues while posting this!

2 months old!

Our little man is 2 months old already! I was taking pictures of him and he is just too cute to pick one, so here you go.....

Funny Farm

 

These kids crack me up! Poor Michael, he doesn't stand a chance! These girls love to dress him up and they've already asked to paint his nails and put make up on him! For now, they settled to just do this to him....

 

 

When Taylor wakes up in the morning she picks out her clothes and puts them in her suitcase. Then she drags the suitcase to the bathroom to get dressed after she goes potty. She is so cute!

 

She also got into my lipstick the other night....

 

And, we made it through our first week of school!! Riley was stylin the other day so we took a pic! She's rockin her new backpack, new clothes and new leopard coat!

Walk in the woods

 

Well, our days of summer are winding down! Who am I kidding, they are down....down to the 30's tonight! But, we had a few more days we could squeeze out the opportunity to wear shorts. So we collected some apples from the trees and decided to take a walk in the woods and leave some apples for the deer! (That sounds sweet, until you realize we were leaving them near the tree stand where my husband will hunt later this year, and no the girls had no idea).

 

 

Riley is a serious apple hunter! Look at that face!

 

 

We decided to take the dogs with us, which sounded like so much fun!

 



 

 

 

But pretty much just looked like this the rest of the way!

 

And then this...with Taylor screaming every time Tango took off and she lost the leash!

 

Finally, she gave up trying to walk that dog and just used her duck call! Our own little version of Duck Dynasty around here!

 

First day of school

 

Can't believe this day has come and gone! My girl on her first day of school! She was so happy and excited, and going on day 4 she is still feeling the same way.

 

 

Taylor was very excited to go pick up her sister the other day. She wanted to wear her cowgirl hat and was too cute to not take a picture!

 

Taylor likes playing on the playground while we wait for big sister to get out.

 

 

Riley has been doing great so far at school. I'm so proud of her. She really seems to be enjoying herself. The only tears came after her first day when I came to pick her up. She started crying and I asked her why and she said "I thought you were going to let me ride the bus home." Geez, just when I thought she couldn't miss me any less.....glad she is adjusting so well though!
